Doesn't appear to be a big update. I wonder what happened to WorldMate Pro?
The beta I got was awful-didn't really work, now we have v9.2.
Maybe they gave up?

Beware! I connected via my cell phone with the new version and did an "atomic time sync" and it came up with 2:06 am on 6/14/03! Did I sleep through about six weeks or is something screwy?

Reset my date/time manually and it repeated the error!

I'm using a T665 AND a Mac running OS 9.1 with PDT for Mac 2.6.3.
Ever since MobiMate released a Sony Hi-Res version, I've had to make a special request to MobiMate to get the HR prc file because it's not in the .sit Mac download, which by the way is still only version 9.1, and it's not the stand alone prc download that's on their download page, and I can't run a .EXE on my Mac.
I thought that after I went through this last time with MobiMate that they would have had a Sony Hi-Res prc file available as a stand alone download, but no.

On another note, I'm still using version 8.2 of the desktop conduit (fortunately it works with 9.1) because MobiMate no longer supports non-OS X Macs.
well, that's my gripe.

wellsjs is right.

I tried this on my NX70 (I'm a registered user of WorldMate 9.1) and the atomic time sync screwed up the clock badly.

I switched back to 9.1 which works perfectly.

The only improvement I've seen is they finally sunk the silly looking boat on the world map screen. I don't use atomic sync for my clie, but I do use it for my PC and no apparent problem with the way it syncs my PC. (I use timecopy to sync my PC with my Clie).

The only problem I have is with it reporting rain for next Saturday, when I'm playing golf. I keep re-syncing to try to get it to show sunshine, but it still shows rain.:(

Great. The only purpose for this release was to update the map and screw up the time.

Thanks Mobimate.

I also got the 6 week jump in time. The map looks better, but that was really not a big issue. I'm using a NX60

I'm really disappointed in them. They did send me a beta which had major porblems which I reported and they never had the courtesy to get back to me or send me an updated beta.
I'm using CityTime(again) and WeatherManager(which, by the way allows me to get my lil ol home towns' weather. It's pretty neat.

Sounds like I better hold off updating mine. I still get howling sound at the end of HotSync with WM9.1 though. It quit for a while when I upgraded 9.0 to 9.1 and then it started again after the Equinox till now.

DanT,

I'm starting to worry about you. Barking at trees and howling at the end of a hotsync.

Yea, it seems like a spirit has found a niche in my Clie. At least it gives plenty of warning for me to don my ear plugs. On the bright side, when it howls it also tells me that The Weather Channel and Currencies get updated :D.

MobiMate just sent me the Hi-Res version of 9.2, and I did not have any time problems on my T665.

You too? Yes, I wrote a letter to a developer last night complaining that the beta expired 15 days too soon. When I sync'd via WiFi earlier in the day with v9.1, it had set my clock back 5 hours and the date back 5 months. The thing is, it said my time was accurate??

The world map looks great, and time sync seems to work on my SJ30.

I upgraded to version 9.2 and guess what? It messed up my time too on my NX70, put v9.1 back on and the time is correct now. So there is something definitely wrong with the new version.

I wonder. I just did a hotsync with the Update Palm Time (Atomic Time Sync) box checked and everything is fine. I have a T665C with OS 4.1

Wow, a nag screen appearing within my paid-for and registered version of WorldMate 9.2. That's as bad as having to watch commercials at the movie theatre befor the movie starts.

Burdie Burdie,
Yes, hotsyncing atomic time works great. It's using "modem sync" with my cell phone that jumps the date about six weeks into the future! Weather updates with the cell phone/modem work great also. :(

I think the upgrade to WM Pro add only appears once. It did on me, and I haven't seen it since. I agree, it is annoying to buy a product and still be bombarded with adds.

What is/was Worldmate Pro. I seem to recall seeing splash screen for this a while back but never heard anything about it since. Anyone know anything about this...

So far I think it's just vaporware or wishware they have been promoting and supposedly working on for about a year now.

The "Pro" splashscreen is designed to show twice and then no more (if you reinstall the app you'll get it twice again). Yes, MobiMate has been long on promises and short on delivery in the last several months. I have sent two emails about the Atomic Time (modem only) syncing problem and have been ignored! :(

For the record, I think this app likes the T-series. I have a T615 and it's working just fine. I noticed that two 665 users in this thread have said the same thing. Me thinks the developer has a T-sumptin.

But then again, I waited a few days before upgrading. ;) Gotta love MobiMate. I'm also interested in the thread where everyone's afraid to try WM Pro. It's sorta like the "Mikey" Life cereal commercials. :D

Received an email from MobiMate saying a bug fix for 9.2 modem atomic time sync will be released within a week.

I have a different problem (NX70), when attempting to look at the weather it crashes.
Has anybody seen this.
And also, does anyone know where to get version 9.1
I should have listened!

Thanks, Emilio

Looks like Mobimate is having problems.. they used to be fast in fixing... now I am thinking of other developers.
