I have gotten a Treo 680 but do not intend to give up my TX. Why you ask? Well the two mail reasons are screen real estate and wi-fi. My plan is to use the Treo for phone, voice recorder and some e-mail and messaging. The TX will be the main device for e-mail, internet, reading and notetaking, which is much easier on my 40 somthing eyes(now if the Hawk is all we imangine, that might change<G>)

My initial thinking is that I will sync the Treo with all my info and then change the Hotsync name. In the future I will port over the phone and contact info and perhaps the calender info via beaming. I would love to hear from anyone who has made this work over time and any insights they might have

I'm considering doing a the same thing, but I just got the TX to work with my cell phone as modem (which has a cheaper $20 vs $40 unlimited dataplan compared to the Treo from Cingular). It seems to me that this might be the better overall route, though I would love the thumb board from the Treo. I would be really interested to hear the + side or the hardships in trying to keep the two Palm devices in sync.

you can put the sim card into the 680 and pay the same $20 for the same internet.

I used both devices for a while, and it was good. Treo for phone and most of the use, with the TX regulated to web, email, note-taking, and big screen video. I had the Treo's data mirrored on the TX, but set it up in such a way that I could only change the PIM stuff on my Treo.

Graduated now so no more need for my TX "laptop", so I'm down to just the Treo 680.

Pls share how you do this. I have T680 & NX70V.
