use UX50 as USB stick

Hallo, Experts

Yesterday I had a Problem. I want to use my UX50 as a USB Stick. I thought I don't need any Installation CD and I can get files from MS just with a "Data Import".

But when I click "Connect" from the "Data Import" , in the PC shows "SONY PEG MASS Storage" and it requires a installatin CD .

My question is : "Can not I use my UX50 without Installation with other PC just for getting file ?"

You need the Installation Disc that came with your Sony Clie UX50 to install the appropriate software that will allow you to use the "Data Import" function.

It's really not that difficult to install. Just follow the directions and you should not have any problems!

I want to use UX50 just a USB stick or I need a just ms ->USB adaptor. In this case may be I don't need any additional Installation CD or hack.

This means without Installation CD or hack UX50 is feckless or ?

I tried in it Linux (Suse 10.1). It works witout any Installation. I just mounted and it works .

This is the real solution. If you put this on your Clie then you can mount it on any PC without the install CD (and don't have to spend money on extra software). There's been a lot of discussion around this earlier so I'm sure you can find it on the forums (or in the Freeware section of 1src)

you can use program name " Cardreader " install to your clie ; when you run this program PC can see your clie like a USB storage

Hi, Guys

With CLIE installation Cd. No problem. But I want without installation CD.
With Suse 10.1 It work just with mount. But with Windows PC , it always ask me installation CD.
