Hi

I am stumped by a movieplayer error received when trying to play through CF. Using peleaca CF drivers, all instructions followed closely. All other CF functions work except this.

Here is the error: Cannot play the selected movie. This format might not be supported. Same error for MQV or mpg, even with MQV recorded from the unit itself. Done the hard reset and reload, etc. Tried 2 different CF cards, standard 256 and 1 G. Everything fine except video player. Also tried very small video files-no go. Can this be related to CF video in landscape issue? Again all other CF functions are fine.

Has anyone seen this? Unit is basic system with just MS Pro update and Pelaca CF driver package, plus the hacked audio and video players and MMUtil PRC.

PS I used to visit this board years ago. Sold my NX in '03 and have returned to NX70V after palm and zaurus for the screen and also since backup on low battery is available now. Glad you guys are still here.

Sorry, the app is "movieplayer" not videoplayer. You prob picked up on that though.

Do the movies play from the memorystick? How did you convert these files?

Hi Thanks. Yes. Everything plays from memory stick no problem-great image/sound. Plain MPG files converted w/ tmpenc. They work fine from MS. MQVs were originally MPEG1 converted w/supplied sony image converter software (quicktime 6 format I think). Yes, everything plays from memory stick.

Fixed-bad driver file.
