View Full Version : New app doesn't show up in launcher?

I've had this happen a couple of times now, and I'm wondering if there's a solution.

Yesterday I realized that I had deleted Clie Viewer. I also realized that there was a new version available, so I downloaded that one and installed it.

The problem was that it didn't show up in the launcher. I'm using the Sony launcher, but it didn't show up in the Palm launcher either. In the Palm launcher, I was able to find CV by using the jog dial, which brings up a list of apps. In the Sony launcher, I couldn't find it at all. I finally solved the problem by adding it to a group.

Guess I'm not sure what I'm asking here, but is this a common problem? As I said above, it's now happened at least twice to me.

Sean.

tried a soft reset? I dont have this problem (dont have my NX yet either) but it mey just be it is not refreshing properly. Also it is know that the old version and new version should be on the Clie. Does CV work? Good luck

i jut looked in my NX70 and Clie Viewer is in ROM, so i don't know how you managed to delete it
(unless you're using Jackflash or something)

Hmm.

Well, maybe I didn't delete it -- but it wasn't showing up anywhere in my launcher. I assumed I deleted it when I was trying to gather enough memory for Netfront.

So, maybe the question is how does an app disappear from the launcher?

Because the icons are cached by the launcher. You need to somehow refresh it so it'll display again. Did you attempt to do a reset, also did you check other catagories? Is it set to all?
