I don't own either, but was wondering which users think is the best feature and performance wise?

Thanks

I would say the Picsel Viewer is better than Repligo. Picsel offers native reading of common files like doc, html, pdf, xls and so on whereas in Repligo you still have to convert them before viewing them on PDA. For performance, of course Picsel is much faster than Repligo. Both can't handle large files though.

I've never seen Picsel before, but have tried the demo of Repligo which I found good, but somewhat slow on my NR70V.

Where can I get a demo of Picsel Viewer?

picsel viewer is great if you need to download emails with attachments (MS Office, .pdf, etc.) on your clie since it converts native files.... i.e. no conversion needed on desktop.....

on the other hand Repligo is good if you need to carry large doc's on your clie and want to save memory... this because the converted files have a very small memory footprint... I also like it because you can convert any file whatsoever.... picsel viewer on the other hand supports only certain formats.....

Personally I have both of them installed on my TG50...

Picsel only comes with new OS5 clie's, no demo is available...

Picsel is OS5 only, it won't run on the NR70 as I already tried.

I've seen both and think Repligo is by far the better of the two. I was really unimpressed with the Picsel interface, but thought that repligo had exactly what I needed. It can take a bit to start on a 500+ page doc, but once it's there it's great. I didn't have enough use for it to keep it (reading large docs on the Clie is a pain for other reasons), but overall I can't think of a better tool for the task. Plus the fact that you can view anything you can print! All those positive things said, I wish it would have remembered your place in a file when you went back to it.

I would have to go sith Repligo as well. Picsel just was not cutting it for me. Running native files has not been that big of deal. Now if I could edit those native files that would be a different story.

Repligo definitely better, but lacks a few important features, such as saving doc view preferences, etc. I still consider it beta level.

It's like comparing apples and oranges. Picsel is fine if you need to view docs natively, but I can easily live without it. RepliGo is the preferred app, although it first requires conversion on the desktop, doc files are stored more efficiently on the Clie. My needs are fairly simple and it does everything I need to have for viewing the different document formats. I highly recommend it. The developer also has stated that more features are planned.

I agree with most of the others. If you can do the conversion first, I think RepliGo is much better, especially for text documents. It's very frustrating to read a text document in Piscel. But Piscel is handy to have around for email attachments when you're away from the computer.
