Pocket Heroes (PPC version) has been release on 18’th of April. For the ones that liked the PC series Heroes of Might and Magic, this game needs no presentation, but for the ones that want to read more about it you can visit the official site:

* Graphics Contest: the talented ones can draw an artifact or a construction. There are many prizes. One of them is a free copy of the game, but could be more if the participants are very talented. Regarding your question the devs are working at the moment to port the game for Palms. It will be ready in approximate 2 months. I updated the initial post. 10x.

This USED to be palm-centric. I believe it merged with a non-palm (read: awful) centric site and became 1src.

It's still mostly palm, though.

Victorash - the posting didn't specify what platforms the game would run on. I love games like these so I was trying to hunt out some information on the website.

It is true that PPC and non-PalmOS products have been posted on 1src, but they often state it's for Windows devices.

It's great to hear that the Palm OS version will be coming up in a couple of months time and I look forward to hearing more from you about it.

doeni: yes it will. Not to mention that palm users are many. Maybe at a time the PC version will be released…

yorrick: I did one small edit and now things are clear. It’s a pity that you don’t have a PPC to test the demo version. maybe some of your friends have one.

And if I mention about the demo version I should say some things about it: the demo version has all the features apart saving& loading but there are only 2 maps available.

Things that are planned in the next period:
- a patch version that would correct bugs (if needed)
- we’ll start working at a campaign (that will be free as I know for now), but first there is a contest that will have a telephone as a prize. We have to make a map for it. I’ll get more info in a few days.
- Talking about contest: there is a graphics contest that has many prizes (a free game too) – link (http://www.pocketheroes.net/viewtopic.php?t=582&start=0)

as i'm one of the greatest fans of the heroes of might and magic saga (especially homam i, ii and iii) and as i have lifedrive i'm definitely eager of the palm version... and i'm also a volunteer to be a betatester if there would be any need of some :cool:

knank & broono : when the Palm version is released just PM me about the betatesting and I’ll speak with the devs if they need testers you could be one of them, but in the meanwhile if you want to help and you are a talented mapmaker you can help now by making a map. I wrote the time estimation just before the picture in the main post. but you know that with testing problems occur all the time so could be more then 2 months...maybe 3. but the important thing is that will be available. in the mean while if you have a friend with a PPC you can speak with him to let you try the demo version. it's great, especially if you like the Homms series. and if you think of it...it's just the beginning. :)

ohh...I understood something else from this: "expect to loose a few hours after its release" - I understood that you are expecting to loose a few hours after the game is released, but the game was already released...so that's why I didn't get it :)
