VidHound vs Maltins Guide?

Hi Guys,
Anyone have some hands on opinions of VideoHound as compared to Maltins Movie Guide? I have used Maltins guide for quite a while, but updates seem to be few and far between and each time the do update, they ask for more $.
I am trying VideoHound and it seems pretty good,as long as you also download the review companion, "Rex"

No contest. I vote VideoHound for it's regular update of the REX database and the ability for customising your collection in more ways eg images and it's filter abilities are so much better. Some movies that are not out on video yet is already listed.

I've had both and switched to VH because of the more frequent updates....

I actually think Maltin's has better filtering/searching... for instance, I liked having the ability to find a movie that had two specific actors.... Unless the two actors are a famous duo, and thus VH has a specific 'Kibble' then you just have to go back and forth comparing the credit lists until you find the match....

I like both honestly. Videohound is better though. The only thing that really got me interested with Maltin, was the fact that it gives you a list of upcoming movie/film releases. Welp, the 2007 movie guide I have only goes up to Dec., even though it says it updates the info.....I have yet to see the movie releases for this year,and I even have the conduits set up. So I'm not to happy with Maltin right now.

I own both, but tend to use Maltin, mostly. It provides a handy way of adding titles from the Maltin list to your own customized lists, for tracking things such as titles you own, have watched, want to rent,... whatever.

The yearly upgrade fee is a bit on the steep side. One solution there would be just to upgrade every two or three years.
