I notice with my TX, that each time I auto update, I get the licensing agreement when I open ePocrates. Tech Support this shouldn't happen and had me delete all of the files belonging to ePocrates on my TX, PC and uninstall it from the panel. I then rebooted and downloaded and reinstalled. Still get the licensing screen upon updating. No big deal except for my incipient OCD ;) .
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your ePocrates issues - but at least I know I'm not alone. Although my problem is that I haven't been able to AutoUpdate at all in a couple of months. Every time I try my TX connects to their server, starts to update and then freezes, requiring a soft reset to come out of it.
Tech support was no help really since I update over WiFi and use Linux which they won't support. I suppose I should be too upset... it is free after all.

I guess I'm luckier than you since I can AutoUpdate. Just a minor aggravation.

I have a question regarding using Clie TH55 with ePocrates. Apparently, memory stick is incompatible with this application. Do you know any sort of work around. I want to store data to the stick rather than to RAM. Let me know. Thanks.

Don't know about Memory stick. With SD card Epocrates offers some card support. If you click on the Blue E it offers memory management option and you can move some files to the card.

Tech support says that I should do a hard reset. I don't think that'll do much of anything.

Did this start happening all of a sudden or has it been like that all along (since you first started using ePocrates)? When was the last time it worked well? Any recent-onset problem with any other app?

Its been happening for quite some time. I've been using it since its original release. I somehow think its been doing this since installing ResetDr and flushing regularly.
I also wonder if any of the files should be put in UnCache and/or RLock?

I have UnCache installed but have not put ePocrates in there, and ePocrates is working fine for me. But these days, I don't sync ePocrates very often (simply turn off the conduit on the PC) because every time I sync, there's a whole bunch of problem afterwards, like even my SD card file structure would be messed up. (Easy way to tell is, just plug the SD card into a card reader and read out everything onto a new folder on the PC. You'll see file errors.) So my impression of ePocrates is strong med/pharm staff but pretty weak engineering. I'd advise not sync'ing more than once a month, or maybe even twice a month, unless you have any special reason to do it more often, like if you need formulary info for a whole bunch of health plans etc. Sorry Shrink, not directly answering your original question but what I'm saying is ePocrates is pretty buggy on the engineering side, even though the content is good.

Another piece of advice: I do a complete backup every time before I sync ePocrates (one of the main reasons I don't sync often). So if anything is messed up beyond repair after the sync, I can roll back.
For backup, I have OCD too. I use BackupMan + RescoBackup + NVBackup. I've been burned too often when I relied on just one backup software and it failed on me.

I don't know why you're having such problems. I use Epocrates on my Garmin iQue 3600 without problems. I would follow the advice to hard reset. Delete all Epocrates files, backup with BackupMan or equiv to your card, hard reset, restore and redownload Epocrates.

Maybe at some point. At this point I'll just click on the licensing agreement as I feel that it's more a conflict with something on my TX.
