Anyone found a way to watch MobileTV without paying a monthly subscription on the Treo. My husband gets it on his Q, it has to be possible on the Treo.
I'm thinking of ordering a slingbox and just taping stuff.

I guess it's time to get the Slingbox unless someone has had success with a LocationFree and a Treo palm version. At the moment I'm using my Treo as a modem and watching WebTV stations with my laptop. All of the major stations allows customers to view up to 7 previous episodes on the internet. However, I have to carry the laptop and pull it out and connect it. If I could get it on my cell phone, it would be more convenient (gee I've become spoiled by technology and convenience).

I just found Orb (a free program) using it with Kinoma, I can now watch live TV, videos, recorded tv s, and music on my PC. I have access to all the stations from my internet provider w/o paying for a monthly subscription through Verizon. I'm okay with this solution and I didn't shell out another $100+ for another device.

I used that years ago on my T3, but had issues, and it was slow at times.
I assume they released a newer version since.
Have things gotten better?

I never had it in the past, but they have gotten newer software. Also you have to search for where you're getting better reception by checking a speed test. I've always read something new about Kinoma and updated or purchased the software. This is the first application where I'll actually use it.
I saw your mention to try Sprint. Does Sprint not charge for MobileTV? If they do, it would be cheaper to buy a slingbox, have it paid off in a year, and have access to all my channels. Additionally, I just got the 700p so I'm stuck for 2 years.
I also noticed that some of the Treo users said they couldn't get EVDO speeds from Sprint in order to access or use some of the sites well. There is also the added need to use my mobile phone as a modem for my laptop. With Verizon, I'm able to access and watch all of the major stations, but some people on Sprint(in Treo forum) state they aren't able to do it.
