Folks,

Thank you for all the great information openly shared here. I am rather new to these forums (cliesource's) and so have much to discover yet.

Is there a particular software best for viewing power point presentations in NX? If so, whay is it or are they? What accesories may be needed to present a presentation from NX rather than lugging the laptop around?

Any information is much appreciated.

Best,
John

I use Documents to Go and if you want to present from your NX then the Margi Presenter adapter is available.

Regarding Margi Presenter, this doesn't work on the NX just yet. However Margi have promised an update within 6 weeks.

Margi has been promising an update for a long time. I have the adapter since around January, and has yet to be able to do anything with it. What's worse, if you try the software, you will have to do a hard reset of the Clie.

Folks,

First of all, thank you for your posts.

I looked through the Clie's CD that came with the NX, there is no listing for "picsel viewer", then I did a search for it and found one site that says that this is made especially for Sony Clies' but didn't find any downloadable site. Is this a commercial software or is it free for Clie users?

As for Margi's presenter to go, very interesting posts. For those who are having difficulties with it, is it only the adaptor or the actual compatibility of the software with Clie? For those who have had better luck, did you have to do anything special to make it work? Also, what Clie model are you using?

Best,
John

It's commercial software, bundled with some clies, though not the NX. The japanese version can also be purchased separately from Sony.

It is not available for free.

I use the software on my NX with no problems. I carry around presentations in margo format on my clie and show them.
Or
Were you referring to the adaptor software.

Margi Presenter to go software comes on the NX CD as I recall. To use it with a projector requires the hardware. Drivers for the hardware are not avilable for the NX yet. I wrote to Margi just recently and was told that they are still working on it and may have something soon.

papa_picsel and rob_squared,
Thanks. That clear things up. Now I will do another search again and hope to find a downlaodable site.

Alistar and DonWells,
Thank you as well for your posts. Yes, indeed, Margi is on NX CD, found it after seing your post.
Any posibility of viewing a presentation on NX in landscape view? Handerra 330 allows landscape view in iSilo; tried to find the same option within iSilo on the NX, but found none. If there is no lanscape view in NX, is there a way for viewing graphics that are way much wider than the portrait view in NX, besides having to laterally scrol? Its much too much work to mannually resize every graphic that are wider than the portrait view of NX.

Thank you always,
John
