I finally got my sj33 today. Sony had it on backorder for a few weeks. I ordered the special that Sony has. It comes with a free case and free overnight shipping. The case is almost identical to the PEGA-CA22, the only differences being that the free case says "SonyStyle" on the flap and the CA22 says "CLIE". The free case has a belt clip and the CA22 has a belt loop that you thread you belt through. Also, the CA22 has a slot for cards and two memory sticks. Both cases are held closed by velcro. The inside material is velvet in the CA22 and I think it's felt in the free case. The sticker on the back of the SJ33 says "Made in Japan". Model number: PEG-SJ33/UL
Specs. listed on the box:
OS: Palm OS ver. 4.1
CPU: Dragonball Super VZ 66MHz
Memory RAM / ROM: 16MB / 4MB (Flash)
...
...
...
Other Features:
FM Synthesizer, 16 chords
ADPCM sound (1ch, 4 bits 8kHz)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a question about the memory and JackFlash. Will the demo version of JackFlash from Brayder's site, tell you if you have any usable "flash ROM" or will only the registered / full version of JackFlash be able to tell you that? Brayder support did tell me that the latest version of JackFlash is compatible with the SJ33 and that the next release of JackSprat will be compatible with the SJ33. I would try the demo right now, but I'm gonna let it charge fully first. I don't want to have any battery deficiency problems that some were getting.
Also, what is the "FM Synthesizer" for? and what is "ADPCM sound"? Thanks for any help.
