Disappearing Vindigo

Every so often my Vindigo icon just disappears. It's happened to my friend twice in the last couple of months, this evening being the most recent occurrence. It seems that Avantgo and Vindigo used to share a syncing conduit and that might be part of the problem???

It's easy enough to restore from the latest Nvbackup and then sync but it's puzzling and annoying.

Any ideas?
