I was cleaning house on my Clie and noticed a file called CFTEMP. It is about 187kb at the present time but has been growing. It was about 147kb about a week ago. Anyone know what file/program it is associated with and can I delete it?

Thanks,

David

No, sorry, I should have mentioned that I have a 615C. No CF Driver. Although, that thought crossed my mind.

Use Filez the file manager. It's freeware on Palmgear. That will show the creator ID's in place of size, date, etc.

BTW, when look up the creator ID in the database, it's case sensitive, so search for it exactly as shown.

Are there any other apps with the same creator ID?

You could always move it to a spare folder, but not delete it and see what happens.

That CreatorID isn't in another database I use either, nor do I have anything with that ID on my T665C. I usually do what Larry recommended when this happens to me. If I don't have a problem after a week, I just delete it but save a backup on my PC under BackupBuddy's archive.

Thanks Larry and Tanker Bob for your replies. I'll follow your suggestion and move the file to another location (mem stick probably) and see what happens. If all goes well, I'll just delete it.

Tanker Bob, I have a friend thats a KC141 tanker pilot. I believe he is attached to the 134th refueling wing here in Knoxville. He currently trains the tanker pilots how to fly those babies. Keep safe!
