I purchased a Clie SJ22. There is very little documentation. It doesn't really tell me much of anything. I've never used a PDA. I have an imac at work and an ibook for a computer at home. I don't even care if I can't sync right now. I just want to be able to use the Clie as a stand alone first. I have downloaded the Palm 4.0, but haven't installed it yet on my desktop.

Is there a manual available anywhere on what the different keys do, etc

I emailed Sony, but they just said they don't support Mac and gave me the address of missing sync. Looks to me like they don't do a very good job of reading emails, either once they saw I had a Mac. My question had nothing to do with the Mac.

Hope someone can help me. KB

The manual's are usually on the disk, check it. I'm not sure about how much in fo it gives about mac but on the other Sony palms the manuals are on the disk.

If you are totally new to PDAs you may want to try this (http://www.helpfulreviews.com/info/0072226595.html) book about using the clie. I've heard it's pretty good.

First, let me say BRAVO!!. SONY tech service is the absolute WORST !! I've ever seen. I too have NEVER been able to get a straight answer out of those clowns. It's like they all share a communal brain, and you're never in touch with the tech that has the brain for the day !! For help with your new baby, get your hands on the book " How to do everything with your Sony CLIE", by authors Rick Broida and Dave Johnson". It's published by Osborne, a division of McGraw-Hill, and is a LOT of help. Best of luck with your quest :D

It sounds like it could be an interesting book.
