Since a week I am lucky owner of a UX-50. My former PDA was the TH-55, which I still have.

So one of my problems is, that I compare each other all the time. I miss a few things on the UX50 but especially I have some pain with the WiFi.

1.) Wireless trouble
When I try to connect to my wireless home network, the Acess Point wouldnt be found by the UX50. The TH55 finds it without any problems. Whenn I just press connect on the UX50, it discovers somehow the AP and connects to it - if WEP is disabled. To add a WEP key, the UX50 needs to find the AP in the first step and then I would by able to add the key. But exactly this is my problem :( . On the TH55 there is a "create" button to setup a new wireless connection - but no such button on the UX50. Can I put the TH55 wireless Utility somehow onto the UX50? Or is the another solution?

2.) Keyboard Shortcuts?
The UX50 which I bought is a UK version. I life in germany and would love to have access to the special german characters. I know that the keyboard layout of the german UX50 is diffrent. You can get this characters by pressing blue plus another key. On my UX this is not working. Just the keys are there which also printed in blue on the keyboard. How can I get the german layout on my UX50 or is there a Utility which with I can setup such shortcuts? I only miss 4 characters.

Help :-)

1) If you go Preferences --> Network: Details..., then under the menu there is only one: SSID. In this menu, you'll find New... (or /N) which allows you to setup a new WiFi access point with SSID name, WEP key, etc.

2) KeyQuick is definitely the best keyboard management program -- all UX users have it (I hope! right, antoinepierre? ;)) ) There is also PiLoc (http://palm.penreader.com/) but KQ gives you a billion times better control

Thank you!

All my problems are solved. KeyQuick is really helpful and now I have the missing characters on my keyboard. Also found the well hidden "New SSID".

Only thing is missing now, is a nice Zlauncher Theme with and a background in 480x320 :) .
