I use Corel Painter (drawing tool) on my laptop very much but I don't have a tablet so I'm forced to use a crappy mouse pad. I was wondering, has anyone here has managed to get a palm tx to work as a tablet and if so, how? I am very interested in knowing of a way, especially if it's free

Honestly, I don't know this for sure, I think the TX isn't precise enough to be used for that. The digitizer seems to not be all that sensitive (relating to accuracy) in the note pad application, plus the problems with drift in some TXs.

I dont know if it works on a TX though!

Alright, I'm going to try out pebbles in a while. Palm wac kinda made me not wanna try it, couse it said it makes it wacom compatible, and I have little or no idea what that means, but pebbles seems more universal. Once I'm done testing it (or restoring my TX) I'll post the results. If you find anything else feel free to post it, since this may or may not work
Wacom makes input tablets; they were the first to do so, so saying wacom compatible is sort of like saying Hayes compatible with modems -- it generally means that the tablet will 'just work' with any tablet-enabled system.
Salling Clicker lets you use your screen instead of a mouse; not tablet behaviour though -- more like a touch pad.
Unless it has been updated, palmwac requires a serial port interface (on both ends) in order to work. Since the TX doesn't do serial (without an expensive RS232 adapter) and most modern computers use USB isntead of RS232 serial now, it doesn't tend to work very well.
