copyright error when trying to play mp3's

I am downloading mp3's to memory stick and when I try to play them in the clie player it says something about copyright protected or corrupt.
the mp3's play fine in media player. what gives?
How do I fix it?

Where did you get the music? What format is it in? It needs to be 128KBPS and 44KHZ MP3.
