Is it true that you can only use the Magic Gate memory stick for MP3's on the T-665? If not...does anyone have other recommendations? Also do they work for movies too?

you only need the white stick if you want to use Atrac for music, standard mp3 works with the cheaper blue sticks,

So, who uses MG sticks and why? ATRAC? Big deal!

No idea, just put the music in the MSAUDIO folder and it plays perfectly in the default music player. compress your songs with CDDB, the names and artis of the tracks even shows up too. ATRAC is a waste of money.

minidisc uses atrac for compression, it's just another compression method invented.

Just buy the normal Blue MS, its a total watse of money to buy the white one. Besides, you have to check in and check out for the copyrighted one. Blue one allows you to do a normal copy and paste method.

Having a Vaio or a memory stick adaptor helps a lot. Using my Vaio, I treated my 64MB MS like a removable drive. :)
