Hello,
I had my digitizer replaced, but only one month later, the new one already has blind spots. SO I began to associate the events with new software installed:
1) Digitizer was fine for one year, but had a bit of MDS (un-calibrating digitizer).
2) Installed PowerDigi. Solved! Bought PowerDigi.
3) Due to LCD whine, purchased WarpSpeed. Great!
4) Soon after, purchased UDMH, for more RAM for PalmPDF. Great!
5) Same week: dead spots appearing and spreading.
6) Unbearable: had digitizer replaced.
7) Restored everything as before (thanks, NVBackup!).
8) One month later: dead spots appearing again.
I don't know if the MDS is happening also, since I am using PowerDigi. And I'm not going to hard reset, because the last time I did I coul not even access the Palm anymore to restore a backup.
I was wondering: could the over/under clocking, or whatever WarpSpeed does about the whine, cause dead spots to appear? Could the hardware somehow being forced or something? Or maybe by some hack or something?
I'm no way blaming these great apps, but I'm just wondering, since it's a big coincidence.
And strange, twice in two days, I opened my Palm and found it stuck on, with a very bright screen, whining. Reset solved it, but what could be the cause?
Cheers,
Mickets
