How can I get memory stick from reader

Hallo, All

I have read, it is possible use Memory Stick Pro duo without Adaptor. And I have inserted it into reader without adaptor and it does not read and does not get it back.

Please help me , how can I get it back,

I think you are going to have to take the back off your Clie (being careful not to snap the speaker wires in the process. Once the back is off, you should then be able to see your memory stick trapped in the slot on the right. Try pushing it out gently with the point of a biro or the like.

First, you sould not believe everything you can read on the Net, like you should not trust everything you see on TV or hear on radio.

Well, obviously, it doesn't work, if you really wanna do it work it's a quite heavy modding of your UX ... and it's absolutely not worthwile (MS adapters are cheap).

Now, what can you do ?
Well maybe you could try to open the little door of the MS port with something and then, look inside ... do you see the MS ? If you shake a little bit your UX, does it moves ?

If the MS moves, you're lucky, it's not stuck, you may try to get it back using :
-gravity (keep the door open and flip the unit on the side, hoping your MS will fall)
-tweezers
-a piece of adhesive tape

Well, try to be cautious. If you ruin your UX, it's not my fault.

You are very helpful. I got it. I hope I had a Luck . it does not stuck strongly. When I saw it it moves little bit than I put it back and strong hit it on my Hand. After this Memory stick released. Now I am using it with Adaptor.

just for the record you CAN use an ms duo without the adaptor, i glue a piece of plastic to mine so i could easily get it out.

As fmc159 says, it is possible, but aligning the contacts correctly between UX and memory stick duo is quite difficult in addition to actually removing the stick again.

Use a small philips head screwdriver (such as one from an Eyeglasses Repair Kit) and unscrew the back of the UX (be careful, there is a speaker wire, so remove the back slowly and gently). You should see the MS slot, and you shoul be able to slide it right out. :)
