I have just moved on my Sony Viao Picturebook (Crusoe Processor) to Windows XP.

When installing Palm Desktop 4.1 over the Sony desktop I had a fatal crash and had to reinstall Everything.

Has anyone else had such experiences??

If "yes" what did you end up doing?

I like the new desktop but not enough to risk such a crash again.

Did you uninstall the Sony Desktop first?

Hmm, I have installed it over top of Sony's v4.01 desktop on several XP PC's with no issues. Uninstall should not have been needed. I also made a backup copy of my hotsync folder first, just in case.

BTW, the PC's are all Sony's.
