Clie Card info problem??

with the CF driver installed and a card present there seems to be an extra card listed in the drop down box in 'card info' if you select this card the clie locks and needs a soft reset. i have noticed this with both the card mounted and unmounted, i wondered if this is the CF1 slot 'sort of' which would explain why the palm desktop install to card feature needs to be set to CF2?

any one else seen this or got any idea why??

This is way it was explained to me from several sources. Apparently the Sony Palm OS was written to reserve space for TWO memory sticks and then comes the CF slot. Same with some of the apps that are multi-VFS aware. I don't see this as a problem or an issue.

It's only a reserved spot, nothing more.

So it only appears when there is a possibility of there being a non MS card present? that sort of makes sense, though its a pain as some of the older software for the palms seem to be hard coded for CF1 and thus don't work.... which is anoying!:mad:

Oh, I agree whole heartedly, send the software developer an email expressing your annoyance and ask if they can update their software. Some have jumped at the chance to do so, some needed coaxing, and some, well... Most developers worth their salt should be able to incorporate it.
