Hey JAmerican....

How are you? I'm a big user of your Media Launcher Player! You provided a great service when you made this software available for everyone to enjoy!

I have a question.... If I remember correctly I use to be able to listen to my music using Media Launcher in the background while working with other applications. Yesterday I attempted to do this and when I went to switch to a different application Media Launcher closed... naturally the music stopped! I then attempted to use AudioPlayer that came installed in the UX50 but got the message: "A software library required for this application is missing, or this device does not support audio playback"

Naturally we both know the UX50 supports audio playback so my question is.... what is missing or has a specific file been deleted? I also want to mention that if I perform a 'Hard reset' to return my UX50 to it's original state.... before any other applications were installed/loaded.... I can get AudioPlayer to function correctly!

Can you offer any suggestions or recommendations on how I can rectify this problem. I really do enjoy listening to my music in the background while working with other applications!

Thanks...

Hey Gman,

Its been sometime since I've used my CLIE. Luckily I am organized (somewhat thanks to Google Desktop) and have a picture of what you want...

Go to Options (I think) > Preferences and you should see this.

One thing I definitely know is that only AudioPlayer or MediaLauncher can play music seperately. AudioPlayer is disabled and Media Launcher is enabled due to they share libraries and resources such as the DSP in the HHE processor. Also Media Launcher's audioplayer is version 3.3 while UX AudioPlayer is 3.1. So, its an update.

You do not need to hard reset to get AudioPlayer working again, you just need to delete the files associated with the music section of Media Launcher. I plan to place CLIE mods information on my site, I just have to retain it and format it for my site. Look for the Translated Media Launcher thread. Hopefully it has removal information.

Thanks for responding so quickly JAmerican....

I wish everyone responded to inquiries as quickly as you do! What you suggested did the trick! I'm back..... and so is my Media Launcher!
