I'm thinking of selling my NX 70 with all these added extras. Just wondering how much you all think it would be worth so I know what to expect when I post it on ebay. Thank you.

Used Sony Clie NX 70
Craddle
Stylus
Charger
Installation CD
Extra Portable USB Hot Sync Cable
4 Screen Protectors
128 MB Sony Memory Stick
512 Compact Flash Card
USB Compact Flash reader
Compact Flash Driver alread installed

Brand new it would cost over $827 all together. I'm hoping to get around $600.00. Is that fair?

Yeah sounds about fair, I think I'd start @ $450 or so, and let it be bid up. The first 3-4 should be expected, the others are nicety, but I don't think the value will be recognized by a newbie to the clie.

just my 2¢.

I wasn't aware that software licences are transferable - the driver - that would mean very little to anybody, especially if they want to set their own hotsync name (in which case the driver becomes unusable)

I think your best bet would be to sell the CF card separately on ebay (lots of people use those for various devices) and forget selling the driver ~ you'll just have to take a $27 hit on that.

$450 sounds like a lot for a used NX . . . I've come across several on the net that cost less than that NEW. Have you looked at the NX auctions already going on ? That would give you a good idea of what people are willing to pay.

No it's not fair, $600.00 is way too much for used equipment. Rule of thumb if everything is in good condition would be around 50% of the original cost. Accessories usually don't add much value when reselling.

Yah 600 is a bit much, but try it anyway. I have seen people bidding like crazy on a burnt out wall socket before, so you never know.

So I guess I should sell the memory stick and the 512 compact flash card separately then.

I added another 128 mb memory stick to the deal.... hopefully it would increase chances of selling at the auction I put up.

Dont underestimate the power of emotional overbidding.

Hi Larry,

I usually agree with your opinion on most issues, but I think you're giving bad advice with regards to accessories adding value in auctions. I sell frequently on Ebay, and in my experience accessories "ALWAYS" add value to auctions *ESPECIALLY* with used equipment.

Your rule of thumb is pretty good, but when an item is short supply or is still a current production or shipping item like in the case of the clie nx70V you can do 10-15% better.

YMMV butI just sold my clie nx70v and accessories for approx. 62% of the new retail price, and since I paid substantially less than retail when I purchased my items like the great deal on the WL-100 card and other items (Thanks in large part to ClieSource), I recovered almost all of my actual out of pocket expenses.

When I sold my clie and accessories, I had at least 6 other inquiries even after the **auction closed** since I had several auctions  going on at the same time that had embedded links to each other. So I knew there was a strong demand for the clie nx70V.

I wish I had seen you post sooner to give you a heads up!

My only regret of selling my clie is that I will not have a reason to visit here as often anymore. I have to say that ClieSource and its users are a great resource for any Clie user.

I ended up buying the new Tungsten C, 400mhz, 64mb ram, transflexive screen, keyboard & Graffiti 2. I really like my new PDA!

Thank you ClieSource and Users for all of your help!!!
