where should i buy one. Is it possible to install myself. I know its a old pda but its either toss it and the folding keyboard plus away or fix it and try to get my son to use it...he's ten

Try www.batteryship.com. I bought a battery from them about a year ago, and it came with tools and very clear instructions and pictures. You have to do a hard reset afterwards, but it worked OK for my m515.
