Help with wifi/hotsync

i have read the other forum on how to hotsync and all the setup is find.. but my only problem is the step 5 in the forum.. which is the scan for networks.. i can't seem to pick up any networks (home school starbuck etc..) for the hotsync, that i tried to manually put in the IP and all that. as i try to connect a message comes up "Connection Error: Device Error! (ok)".. same thing happens if i try to do an autoconnect for wireless lan also.. is this a driver problem? or hardware? i did do a bunch of hard reset.. when it scans for networks i do notice the light flashing.. any ideas guys? thanks.

If you cannot connect to the network, of course you cannot WiFi hotsync. You need to be able to connect to a network to WiFi hotsync to a computer on that network.

i just wanted to tell everyone what the problem is and how it was delt with.. i have this problem ever sinces i bought it from someone.. the wifi woudn't work but i looked up some old posted threads and went under "device error" so this problem was very common.. so if anyone has this problem just sent it to sony to fix. cost $150 us.. it sucks but it's supposely a hardware problem. chances of this happen again.. don't know... but it seens like this happens if you let the battery run out. it's a good lesson to keep it charged.. thanks everyone
