What is the most efficiant time period for a warranty. Is it simply the longer the better, or would i be wasting my money past a certain time? I have the option of a 1, 2 ,or 4 Year Plan from Best Buy. what should i go with......need to know asap.

leave some reasoning if you want.....but in a rush....let me know the time period at least.
thanks

How long do you plan to keep it? If your like some and get every new model that comes out, then what's the point. Although some have found creative ways to upgrade by sabatoging their Clie. One even claimed sticking a knife in the MS slot and shorting out the pins. CompUSA does have a trade up policy. Some have been able to get instant replacements from BB if they gave a big enough sob story, that expoused how they couldn't live without it :)!

That's the thing, i plan on keeping it a while. i'm not thinking i'm a big "upgrade" guy, but this is my first palm. anyway....how long of one should i get. i think the 4 year plan is like $75 and i think that the longer plan i purchase, the more leverage i would have if something went wrong. does that sound good? so .....give me your outlook and i appreciate the response.

The warranty can be totally worth it if you have problems. The more advanced the unit you buy, the more that can go wrong too. My digitizer went out on my T615 after about a year (no problems at all other than that.) All I had to do is take it into Best Buy and they checked it out and took it back. They let you trade up and pay the difference if there is something more expensive that strikes your fancy.
