wifi connection problems

Just set up wifi in our home but my TX wont connect, it finds the network, I enter wep key etc but it wont connect, just tries but doesnt even obtain an IP address, it connects to our neighbours networks but not mine, followed all the steps but no joy, any ideas anyone? :confused:

You may try entering the DNS numbers in the Palm Wi-Fi configuration, you can get the DNS numbers from your ISP. :)

thanks, tried that but still no luck, so annoying, connected to router and there were a couple of IP addresses, which do I use?

thanks, read it, all 8 pages, everything seems to be set up ok but still no luck, no IP address obtained etc, this is driving me crazy :(

My friend has this strange problem with his router, if he sets it to mixed mode meaning wifi B and G, his TX refuses to connect. But changing it to B only mode allows his TX to connect. Try it, it might help.

As stupid as this sounds - it worked (oddly) for me.

Reset the router. Just power it down for a few moments and then back up. Try connecting then.

It worked for me. I pulled the plug on my router in a fit of pique and after it came back on it had no problems letting my TX connect.

- maybe it saw the future and complied. Maybe there was something else unexplained. Got me. But it's worked 100% since.

Tried powering down router, managed to lose all connection, even to laptop, luckliy had a backup to reinstall which got it back

going to try turning security off and then maybe just broadcasting in B instead of B+G though this will cut my laptop out, shouldnt this be easy?
