question about using 2 palm os devices on 1 computer

I have a T615 and a Palm m105. I have the Clie set up to sync with Outlook. I'd like to set up the m105 to sync with the Palm Desktop software and use them for different purposes. How can I do that?

Do a hard reset on one the devices and then change the user name so it is not the same for both. This way one will not mess up the settings for the other.

I added a new user name for the m105, then tried to hotsync it. I got an error that the user had not been configured in Intellisync lite. I want to use the Palm desktop software for that unit (Outlook for the main user), but can't figure out how to get it to sync to different software than the Clie. Since I seemed not to have a choice, I went ahead and configured it with Intellisync and my only options were Lotus or Outlook. I configured it for Outlook; now when I tried to hotsync, it did work, but even though it was a different user, it synced all my main ID stuff on it. So, apparently, whichever user name I use does not matter-all the info is the same.

I'm obviously missing something here. How can I get it to do what I want it to do? I tried installing the Palm m105 software, but that messed up the Clie settings and I couldn't get that unit to sync and had to reset it.
