I am currently trying to install SonicStage so that I can convert MP3's to Atrac3's and transfer them to my PEG-NX60 Clie.

Now, when I install, I can get up to 60%. However, it is here that the program errors out. The installation stops. At the bottom, you can see that there is an error window, however, it will not open so I do not know what the error is. On the installation screen, it is stopped at the Atrac3 Decoder. It has happened like this 3 times.

Has anybody had any similar problems? Do you know of any fixes or substitute programs (aside from OpenMG Jukebox - I have a MD as well and tried using the program for the Clie and it would not recognize the device)? Also, I am running WinXP if that makes any difference.

P.S. How much smaller are Atrac3's than MP3's? Is it really worth it to covert them and transfer? I can get MP3's on there, so if Atrac3's arent that much smaller, I will not need to convert.

Why not just put mp3's on your NX? All you have to do is use ms import and place the mp3s in the memory stick at palm/programs/msaudio.....that should do just as well...and sonicstage sucks anyways.

I think the hassle saved by the process of putting mp3s on it will be the deciding factor...sonicstage is very choosy as to which music it will let you convert (in my experience)...if the music is not copy protected or something like that (i am speaking from the brief moment that i tried to use sonicstage so i might be incorrect) then it will not convert it. stick with mp3...they are better quality sound.

I have no clue why Sonic Stage won't install, but that's a PC problem. No problem on this end with many install Sonic Stage installs.

It's a real hassle anyway, MP3 is much better to work with. Not much difference in size either!
