Somthing I've never been able to wrap my mind around is a the Palm filesystem on the Clie ux50. It is a bit confusing. Can one of the board experts put together an explanation? When software is loaded onto Palm where does it end up? What folders do the Clie apps make use of? Handheld vs Int. Media, what is the difference?

Here is the start of what I can see in ClieFiles. In short, what ends up in some of these folders?

Internal Media/
DCIM -camera pics?
IMAGES - what app stores
MQ_ROOT - movies
Palm/ Archive
AliasExt -- what is this?
DXTG
MoviePlayer
MSAUDIO
MSFILES
MSSOUND
ZLAUNCHER (I obviously have Zlauncher installed)Thanks,
Scott

Ah-ha! AliasExt is one of the best secrets of the Clie. Check out the FAQ (http://www.artificiallives.com/tech/ux50/index.php?action=qa&faq=1) for the specifics, but basically it allows you to run applications from memory card exactly like they were resident in RAM.

Let us know if you have any further queries!
