View Full Version : clie emergency charger ..
.. which one do you recommend ? i found 2 types on expansys.us => one is a 9v ( http://www.expansys.us/product.asp?code=CLIE-EB ) and the other is for AA batteries by innopocket ( http://www.expansys.us/product.asp?code=INNO_AATCHARGE_CLIE )
and also there is the original clie charger out ..
ah and i almost forget the one from brando ..
does anyone of you have any experience with any of these chargers ?

I got one on ebay that uses 4 AAs, and I've been very pleased with it. It's certainly easier to find AAs than 9volt in most places.

Tried: generic eBay 4AA version, Brando 9v, Seidio 9v...
Of these, I vastly prefer the generic 4AA version. It totally recharges the unit 3-4 times (most 9vdc units only recharge to about 60%, and only once from a brand new battery)

This is another option.
They have a very light travel charger and am emergency power pack.
I have it but haven't had to use it yet. I try and keep the Clie powered up.
They have some interesting battery solutions.

thanks a lot for tips i'll have a look at all of them .. but i'm really surprised that the ebay generic one is capable od charging the clie 3-4 times .. if is true, this one would be the winner ..

Several charges from the ebay 4AA one has been my experience as well. I also have a car charger but rarely use it.

I have a car charger, alternate AC charger and a solar panel that delivers auto-voltage at low levels (not enough to run the clie or cell-phone while on, but enough to charge either/both while not in use). I have not invested in one of the battery chargers as I prefer a replenishable power source. However, with a gift of extra AA rechargeable batteries from my brother, I am now considering it should my existing chargers no be enough. So far they are quite enough. :)

I've also used rechargeable NiMH batteries for quite a while. Their power isn't quite as great, but they're very inexpensive over the long run and it feels more environmentally friendly than using disposables.
