This is very easy to answer - so easy i am probably wasting your bandwidth - BUT - it is important to me.
Does DataViz Documents to Go come with the NZ90 or not? I can not seem to find it mentioned as coming with it anywhere. I thought it would as the lower, NX70/60 have it (Std Edition).
Thanx

No, it does not come with the clie bundle. Doc To Go sucks anyway. Get QuickOffice Premier 7, it's much better software for editing and or viewing native word, excel, and powerpoint files on the memory stick. Docments To Go only let you view files on MS, it won't allow you to edit! You have to copy from MS to internal memory in order to edit anything. It's Totally bomber software!

Take my advise, go read the reviews. http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=1276

The NZ does come with Picsel viewer which allows you to view native docs. If you just need to view.....

I made a copy of my NX60 CD before I returned it... thank God... I was surprised that the NZ did not have a copy...

I wish this thread would have come out a week ago. I spent $69.00 dollars for Docs to go Premium. I wasn't happy with it from day one. Can't return opened software to Staples.

I find Docs to Go OK and have no difficulty editing files when they are on the stick. I stopped using Quick Office because the version I had didn't allow you to create documents on the pda, only edit ones transferred from PC. I assume they have fixed that quirk by now.

Once you register Docs to Go (in my case, from a previous palm) you can redownload it if you need to, so I did just that when I upgraded to my NZ-90. I use Docs to Go for editing and Picsel for viewing.

Using native word docs is obviously better if possible, but they do tend to be larger than the docs to go format.

Apparently QuickOffice still doesnt allow you to create spreadsheets or presentations. This would be no good to me at all - I'll stick with docs to go.

Docs to go is good if you wish word compatibility. It has all the bells and whistles. All you need now is for you to be able to BEAM the docs to Pocket PCs and let pocket pc understand.

I think its still the best utility for Spreadsheet, Word Processing on a small handheld device, but its only my 2 cents

No matter how bad you think it is or isnt - it will still always be better than PocketWord/Excel at office documents. All reports say that DTG renders them better the PW/PE. They also say that the PPC versions trash data they do not understand - bad bad bad.
This thread is becoming rather interesting.

If you like QuickWord, that's fine - but Docs to Go, in my opinion, is the better true word processor. It has more compatiblity, better formating options, and doesn't use HTML as it's native file format (HTML is great, but it isn't optimum, again in my view, as a word processing format.) As far as QuickWord's "native" opening abilities, true enough - though it isn't exactly a pure *.doc (MS Word) format reader. Instead, it's a software converter - so formatting is not preserved.

Docs to Go/Inbox to Go as a combo also converts Word in incoming and outgoing email attachments.

My biggest problem with Docs is no word count and no spell checker. But again, as a writer, I find it to be the best as a pure, standalone word processor.

As a pure word-processor I used wordsmith before upgrading to the clie, I haven't transfered it across yet, but I think it has both spellchecking and wordcount

Does anybody know if Docs to Go would work with files on Compact Flash Card (with CF Driver), not on the MS only?
