DocsToGo freeze on HotSync

Hello all,

wonder if you exeperienced this and have a solution: if I have the MS inserted and do a HotSync, the synchronisation freezes on DocsToGo. There are two things I see: the MS reading LED on the Clie is constantly on (it stops blinking and just stays lit up) and the DocsToGo synchronisation doesn't move forward.

I already contacted Dataviz but they couldn't help much (they said to reformat or replace the MS; these didn't solve the problem).

Now I have to eject the MS before a HotSync as then the problem doesn't appear.

Pls let me know if you had this problem and found a solution to it.

I've had a similar problem. I found it depended on the extent to which the UX battery was charged. Try syncing with battery fully charged, or with the UX connected to the charger.

Thats strange. I do have the same problem on my Treo650. Anyone/any idea?

This has started happening when syncing with my work PC. I have re-installed the handheld apps, but the problem persists. Next thing to try will be re-installation of the desktop files :mad:

i had that problem, i remedied it by uninstalling docs to go from my pc, i didn't use it that much to back up my docs - i save backups myself to my memory stick, and important stuff i save a copy to my computer manually

its probably not the best solution if you need to regulary sync and backup files

Hello guys,

thanks for all the responses. As for the battery, I'm already HotSyncing with the Clie on the charger. :/ As for manual syncing, I have a few files I update on a weekly basis on both systems so would be good to have it up and running. But it seems, no solution yet. :/

Will check Dataviz website in a few months, maybe they have a solution by then. Will let you know, if yes.
