When ever I use the camera app the system resets, it does not do this from a clean hardreset though. So I know its not the hardware. PS - The video recording app works fine.
I run the following (from reset);
Appshelf
Palmrevolt
Warpspeed
I have MediaLauncher installed, along with the extra codecs. I have removed the codecs and it still resets. The same is true for removing the MMUI.prc.
Anyhows any help would be appreciated.

Update - Seems to crash on the "shutter" sound. I can change any setting I want and its okay, but if I changed the volume on the shutter sound it resets the same way as it did if I just take a picture out right. Still fiddling.

Solved it myself, its caused by a corrupted savepreferences file. I backed it up and then removed it from ram, reset and tried the camera. Works perfectly, only a few apps got there settings hosed in the effort ... better than a hard reset and rebuild.
Sorry to waste time.

this problem also happened with the fat32 driver install and a fat32 card is in the slot.

Found the actual culprits that caused the saved preferences to corrupt. Palmrevolt (do not set the save settings to "savepreferences". It seems if it stores the information in the preferences file it buggers the camera software.
Hopes this helps someone other than me :)

Absolutely!. I have become good at keeping regular RAM backups so when the camera ap (or the WIFI disconnect) decides to start causing RESET, i just restore it from the most recent RAM backup... next time i'll look into the saved preferences file. Thanks a million :)
