I'm not using one yet, however I will be buying the keyboard from Sony Style soon. It is identical to the one from Targus.

I use Sony's KB-11 (or whatever it is) and have no problems, but then I didn't expect any after paying top $$!

I use a Sony KB-11 too and am really pleased with it. I was a secretary for 25 yrs. and can really build up speed when I get going. I like the feel and action of the keys on the KB-11. I also like it's portability. It's invaluable for entering databases, etc. I had always wanted a laptop, but my Clie and keyboard are more than adequate for me.

Actually, I've heard the PDA/keyboard combo described as a "poor man's laptop". LOL

Check the prices for the Targus Stowaway Keyboard here http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005LZNN/qid=1051552728/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/102-1227153-4936906?v=glance&s=electronics before you go with the Sony Style. Won't get the branding or the cut little gray sack but the keyboard is the same..

:D
davidtm - you've got that right!!
Lgmccoll, be careful that you know your PDA models if you get this one. If you read the technical details it says:
"Compatibility: Sony Clie PEG-N760C, PEG-N710C, PEG-N610C, PEG-S360, and PEG-S320 handhelds"
So if you have a "T" series or a SJ33, This keyboard won't work.

Wow... looks like a lot of people like Sony's stowaway KB! Does anybody use Belkin's G700 or a wireless KB?

I use the Belkin G700 and I love it, and prefer it much over the KB11.

What features about the Belkin are better than the KB11 in your mind?

I use the Micro Innovations Wireless KB and absolutely love it. The fact that it works on all 4 of our family's Palms (not just Clie) was a real plus. For me, it is worth every penny.

I too am interested in your experience. I've seen some complaints about the Belkin- they keep needing to update the driver due to some problems. Have you had ANY problems? The ability to plug it in while typing is definitely a plus.

I use the Belkin G700 with my SJ33. I like being able to type on my lap when a desk or something like that is not available. Also, when I'm typing at work, I can plug my power adapter into the G700 so that I have AC power to my SJ33 while I'm typing. These are some pros. of the G700:
being able to type on uneven surfaces
charge you CLIE while you're typing (if you have a power outlet nearby)
Cons:
Keys are laptop sized. The G700 is basically a laptop keyboard. It's not as bad as the new StowawayXT though as in you don't need to hold down a function key to type in numbers or other special symbols. The G700 is a little smaller than the KB11.

Here are some pictures of the G700, and some comparison shots between it and the KB11 type keyboard (this particular model is the Stowaway for the Visor Edge. Exact same keyboard, just a different connector)

I have the Belkin and love it. It is very very very thin when closed. Being able to have power running to your Clie through the keyboard is a big plus if you are doing a lot of typing. I used this while working on papers away from my desktop.
You will notice that the KB11 looks a lot bigger folded out, but if you take away the plastic areas surrounding the keys, the space that actually has keys on it is not much bigger than the Belkin. I love that the Belkin does not have any of this extra plastic around the edges. The OS4 drivers are rock solid. Just make sure you get the latest.

Hey Unregistered,
Talk to me about the Micro Innovations Wireless KB. Where did you get it from? Why is it "worth every penny" to you? How many pennies does it cost to buy?

I'm really thinking about the Belkin. By the way OcellNuri, the pictures were great- thanks.
Other than the MicroInnov wireless kb, there is another wireless option that works without mirrors- it has an 'arm' that extends to the top of the PDA from which an IR signal is transmitted. Here's a good link- http://www.pocketirkeyboard.com/simple.htm. I'm curious if anyone's tried this; it looks pretty good. From what I've read, any less trouble having to get the right angle with mirrors would be welcome. all the wireless keyboards are available on Ebay for less. [i still wish there was some way to use the side USB jack on my SL10 for AC power while typing with a wireless kb-oh well].

The reasons I bought the Micro Innovations Wireless Keyboard (in no specific order):
1. It's way cool. ;-)
2. It sets up on its own easel. This keeps the keyboard flat and allows a more natural distance for typing.
3. Folded up, it's a little larger than my Clie (about the size of a IIIe).
4. It has soft keys, etc.
5. It works with ANY PDA with an IR port - I won't lose my investment when I upgrade.
6. Fryes Electronics had it on sale for $60 brand new. I couldn't pass it up.
Cons:
1. No rotate function for SJ20 (and most other Clies), meaning that I have to use the easel and can't just lie it flat on the tabletop. This is due to a software issue with Sony's version of PalmOS. There is a hack that works with 3.5 and earlier, unfortunately not for 4.0.
2. Keyboard can be cramped. I'm not a touch typist, so this doesn't matter to me - it's still faster and more ergonomic than Grafitti (and I love Grafitti).
All in all, it is a great keyboard for alternate input. It will never replace a full-size keyboard, or even a laptop keyboard. But, for me it fits the bill.

I had a Targus Stowaway for my Visor and Visor Prism. I upgraded to a T615C about a year ago, and I recently switched to an SJ-33. I haven't been able to justify a new Stowaway, and I really miss it.
I wonder if there's a way to replace just the connector...

Not sure. I can't hardly live without my Targus keyboard so I'm looking forward to getting a new keyboard for my SJ33. Targus does not make one, but the one available on sonystyle.com looks identical to one from Targus.
