I really liked the idea of Daily Quote software. However, it caused a problem with ZLauncher background on my TH55. Whenever, I clicked DQ's OK with ZL in the background the ZL screen would not refresh where DQ popped over the top of it. Therefore, I had a white-blank area where DQ was displayed. I had to switch screens for it to refresh.

Can anyone else reproduce this issue?

Tam got back to me with a new version to test that fixed the ZL problem. That was fast!!! :D However, there may be a problem with FontSmoother. I had to turn DQ off in FS to keep the text onscreen. I'll keep you posted.

Okay, I found the "FontSmoother" problem. It wasn't a problem with Daily Quote, or FontSmoother at all. But rather, a Bible quote database that I downloaded to use with DQ. The DaiQ_Bible01 quote-base was not setup correctly. I corrected it and sent an updated copy to Tam. That fixed my issue with Daily Quote. It's really an excellent pop-up quote app. Give it a try!

You're very welcome, Tam. I have really enjoyed having an hourly pop-up of Bible verses to reenergize me. I'm going to try my hand at creating my own Bible verse database, and will be glad to send it to you if you like.

BTW; sorry for beeing so silent, but I work on your feedback right now. In fact, linear quotes and get quote now already work...

Hi,
the other requests will be implemented as time permits!

How are your betas faring so far?

Yes, Daily Quote just keeps getting better. Now there is a "quote-count" option that will tell one how many quotes are in a quote database. This is especially handy when building a daily quote db where you want a once-a-day kind of function. The database rename works well. You can also now set a linear, or random quote function. There is also a new Get Quote on demand button. Plus more keyboard and auto-caps support.

Keep up the good work, Tam!
