Problems with Movies and Image Converter

I'm having trouble putting movies in the .avi and .mov format on my NZ90. I use Image Converter to tranfer it to my memory stick, however when I go to watch the movies the jump from the beginning to the end. Using the scroll bar I can see the different images of the movie, but I can't click the play button and watch it. Does anyone know why this is happening?:(

Try running the movie thru TMPGEnc first. then imae converter. it will make it smaller and will turn it into the mpeg. I have messd with about 15 different decoder programs and that one is by far the easist and best

But why won't Movie Player or Clie Viewer play the converted movie files. I used Image Converter but they don't work correctly. I've been trying to put the final matrix reloaded trailer on my clie, but its in .mov format and won't play when converted with Image Converter.

It could possibly be the movies you are trying to convert are using a varible bit-rate. The Image Converter doesn't like this. So you need to run the video through a different app first to give it a constant bit rate. Maybe there is something else wrong with your video files. Not sure. Either way, use an app like TMPEG or Virtual Dub and reconvert your files. Also, if your not geting any sound, try converting the sound to an uncompressed format. It will make the files hugh on the desktop, but the Image Converter will make them small on your Clie.

There is a thread about the Matrix Reloaded trailer in the video forum. It gives lots of info on how to convert it (unfortantly, I didn't see the thread before I tryed to do that.)
What I did to convert that trailer was use Quicktime 6 Pro ($30) and exported the video using the Sorenson 3 video codec on the highest quality, and then used uncompressed sound. Then it was in a Quicktime format that converted perfectly in the Image Converter.
