Hi
I have recently purchased a Sony Clie NX70, NX73V & NZ90 they all come with Graffiti 1 installed, can I put Graffiti 2 on them?

Can I have both Graffiti 1 & 2 on the PDA at the same time?

Regards

First question...
Why? Most users want to downgrade from Graffiti 2, not upgrade ;)

Question 2,
No, I do not believe you can.

The PDA is for my girlfriend who has extremely nice hand writing and she struggle with Graffiti 1, the letters in Graffiti 2 are a lot more how you would write them if you were writing in captials. She finds Graffiti 2 a lot easier to use.

If you have the graffiti 2 files can you overwrite the Graffiti1 files on a NX-60?

People have been successful in getting graffiti 2 onto the nx70 (also would work for the nx60) by taking the files of a graffiti 2 device. here is a quote about the method.

"I went to Best Buy today and put my memory stick with Filez to copy the G2 files from the NX80. I don't want to email it out to people so if anyone can host them just post your email and I'll send it to you. There are 4 files that you copy into the clie using either McFile or the MSBackup method (Filez won't do it for some reason) then soft reset and you have G2 on your NX70."

I don't have the files, but a search in these forums should identify the files, and a device with g2 should be able to provide them.

The "msbackup method" is:
1. do a fresh backup to memory stick of your device.
2. add the g2 files to the memory stick backup directory.
3. restore your device from the backup.

There are other programs which might install the programs directly. McFile has been said to work for this, filez has been said to not work.

If you are nervous you might make a backup to one memory stick, make another one to a different memory stick and then make the changes to that. That would allow you to do a restore from an unmodified backup if something goes wrong.

I have not installed the G2 files myself, but have used this method to install a couple of other things with easy success. YMMV
