View PDF files on your Palm handheld; Retrieve info about your Sony Ericsson phone via Bluetooth; Play a game where you try to find as many words in a jumble of letters as you can; and PalmGear.com now working again. [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=1829)]

Just tried Adobe Reader 3.05. Still no hi-res+ support. And it's surprisingly slow given that the PDF files get pre-processed on the desktop.

On the other hand, it might be rather useful if one needs to view PDF files with tables of contents, and the reflowing works rather well.

Ok, so here's my question.

I didn't think the software even got a face lift. Haven't seen anything on it besides here at 1src.

Is there anything new, or is this the same software we've had since we all were using greyscale handhelds?

It doesn't look at all new. It has lo-res icons, for instance.

It does support color.

If memory serves, Reader 3.05 was the same version number they had years ago. It also caused crashes on my T3. At least that's what I deduced from empirical evidence. I removed it and the crashes went away. It also interfered with alarms although I have no clue why it would have anything to do with them. And it wasn't easy to remove. Pieces kept coming back. Al in all, something I'll never try again, not with PalmPDF as well as the reader in DocsToGo.

In that case, with all the advances made in PDF fiewing - Ced, why the heck did you drag up this barely functional relic?

@headcronie
So that you, pruss, and bobbd can confirm if Adobe really made something new with its version 3.05 of Acrobat Reader. :)
