Convert JPG for ZLauncher...

My SJ20 needs the bacckground to be 4-bit color (which makes sense cuz that's what the screen is). That means that the image that I load to the haldheld needs to by 4-bit. Not 8-bit, nor 16-bit. Only 4-bit. So, I can't find where I can convert the image! I have a photo-editing proggie, but it only goes down to 8-bit. Paint isn't helping either, but they can bring it down to 1-bit color (there' a jump between 1-bit and 16-bit, nothing in-between). Help, ASAP...

Try IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/). A freeware image viewer that does what you want (and more). :)

Thats for the suggestion, but I can't find where to convert it to 4-bit! It says Grayscale, but that is 8-bit...HELP?!

Okay, well, I figued it out and now I havce 4-bit, 16-color images on my Clie. Those don't even work as backgrounds. Any suggestions?

PS - The 4-bit images looked HORRID on my CLie because the program tried to have red and yellow and blue in there instead of more shades of gray...
