Just got my NZ90 (first PDA) so excuse my lack of knowledge...

Me and a freind were trying to use the bluetooth function to send files between my NZ and his HP5455, I tried everything...as did he but we could not get files to transfer (however we did set up a bluetooth recognized connection). Fianlly we decided to use the IR beam function which did seam to work for him, as I was able to send him a jpeg. However, evereytime he sent me a file I would get a message stating that I could not recognize the file....even though it was a renamed copy of the Jpeg I just sent. Could someone offer me some advice on how to get this to work. I'm completely new to PDAs and palmOD so a web site with a tutorial would be great (documentation included is very sparce).

Sorry about the long message, just a couple more things..1) are there folders to store files in PALM? Where do beamed files go once there are recived? On the site I see pictures of people screens which look like they have hundereds of programs, how can that be, where do they get all that space, are they putting it on an memory stick and running the PDA like that?

Thnanks for all the help !!!

Ok, PalmOS recognises thre formats - PRC, PDB and i can not remember the other one but it is a P** something.
Basically you can not FWIU use native JPEGs in a PalmOS device. Sony may have perfromed some of its magic but i don't think they did.
You need to get the JPEG to a copmuter to sync with the CLIE. It will convert it for you. Or get a MS -> whatever adapter.
And as for the BT connection - it if possible that one of the devices (HP most liekly) did not suport the profile that was trying to be used. Some PDAs with BT have only got phone profiles instaled on them. Useless for data but good for SMS etc.
Any ways hope that helps a little
