it seems there are 3 screws missing hence I wasnt able to take my TH55 apart to repair.

my question really is: where are top screen screws (2), and bottom screen screw (1) located at?

or in the alternative, is there anywhere on the web that shows u how to take a Th55 apart step by step?

many thanks

Since that is my picture, I guess I need to reply it. :p

First of all, welcome to 1src and sorry for the confusion. The top screen refers to Figure 4 in the post #1 of Let's build "TH55 Spareparts Center" Here (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83569&page=1) thread, see also the picture below. That screws are for mounting the screen frame on to the motherboard at the top. You may see the 2 holes on the metal strip on top of the screen. To get to that screws, you need to open the case.

The bottom screen screw is also inside the case. It is for mounting the hard button assembly onto the screen.

There are only 8 (eight) of external screw. Once you remove all of them, then you need to use your finger nail to pry the top case off. There are plastic snap-on buttons around the case frame to hold the case together even after the 8 screws are removed. This is the nice Sony CLIE design that makes TH55s look and feel solid even after some screws are missing.

For more detail step-by-step procedure, see my post #14 in this If you haven't seen inside of TH55, here it is (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?p=908078#post908078) thread.

Good luck with dis-assembling job and have fun!
