Five or ten second blank-screen between programs

Why does my 650 often move so slowly between programs? It can be moving from phone to DateBk5, or most any move from one program to another.

It's clearing something called DBCache, which is a type of system cache. Big programs like DateBk could fill it up, and it's necessary to clear it by writing the data to the storage part of the Treo's memory. Thing is, it's slow. :)

keep in mind that the more programs and games you have installed in your Treo, the longer that lag between switching apps will be. although it's not significantly longer, it will begin to add up after a while.

i've recently hit the "long time" mark in that i could switch from Phone to Docs to Go. but while waiting, i could get a burger, go to the washroom, watch a TV show or two before it finally loads. of course, that's just exaggeration, but it sure seems like it :D
