How can I reprogram another button (to replace the power-hold switch) to become the new power button? Thanks!

you can start by doing a search.


short answer: download flexbutton and exit, and you can remap the rec button to turn the tg50 on/off

McPhling also works pretty well.

the search feature on cliesource works great.

what's wrong with the power hold switch? I like it because if you turn off the Clie, then slide the switch to Hold, it can't be accidentally turned on if you tap the REC button while putting it away. I drained my battery twice before learning that little trick, plus filled up my memory card with random audio. :)

Yo, thanks for that pointer! I'd never have thought of that! I've turned on the thing in my pocket by mistake by hitting the rec button! Thanks for posting it!:D

No problem bud.. Actually I assumed that everybody else had already figured out that little trick. :D I stumbled on to it by accident actually.:p I'm glad that I was able to make somebody's TG50 experience better. :p
