Hello,
I am using the PrintBoy trial, and it is very cool. I am printing wirelessly to my HP Photosmart 2500. Although this is very useful for me, it doesn't justufy the $50 price tag. Is there a free/cheaper alternative?

Most trials are given to be tried out, without you figuring a way to disable the trial period. Since it looks like they have a lock on this technique they can charge such a high price. Here is their link:

As far as I can figure, bringing a computer into the mix is the cheaper solution, unless someone wants to reverse engineer the process....

There is also TealPrint (http://www.tealpoint.com/softprnt.htm) for $20 but which, in my experience, is more limited than PrintBoy. You can print from the built-in apps (Date Book, Address Book, ToDo List, Memo Pad) along with system info and test results. You can also print your clipboard contents or a screen capture which you can take at a pre-defined interval. I've only tried the printing once and was quite underwhelmed by the Courier.ttf style ouput without formatting.
As always, test the demo fully before shelling out ;)

Keep in mind: Teal can print in color, while Bachmanns PrintBoy cant!

Can it print Documents to Go documents? That is what I really need it for. I like to take notes and get home and print them out once I walk in the door.

Hi,
state at release of Docs 9, no. Docs8 can print, yes, but a Docs9 capable PrintBoy version was yet to be released when Docs9 saw its release.
Contact DataViz for further info...I'm not at all sure about the current state of the procedures.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand what you are saying...
Are you saying it has it built-in?
