KLEE-ay; sounds like dee-jay.

It's from a Latin root meaning clan chief; top dog.  :)

not exactly steve: It's more like kleye:
k, l, e like in st_e_ve and ye like in slang for yes, but not going towards the a. Now I actually get why, you compared it to a single word. I guess my explanation has gotten a little too complicated

If you take the e and place it near the kl you can have the ay in the end with the kl proceeding leading up to that e you see at the end which looks nice and is there for asthetics and to help the pronouncer show the pronouncee with visualizing the effective language usage...*LOL*:D

I just call it Klee as in Kleenex. I like to keep it simple :)

stevejohnson460 is right (apart from the Latin roots bit...) In Japanese it is spelled out phonetically so there is no room for interpretation.

It is definitely and unequivocably pronounced CLEE - AY.

It does not come from a latin root, it is an acronym which stands for Communication Link for Information and Entertainment.

I used to work for Sony.
