Hi all. Having fun with my NZ90 and also thanks to the developers (and having read the Known Issues doc, testers/bugfixers) of the CF drivers... I've just bought it and am looking forward to using it.

My question, which will probably become all the more urgent when I start using Microdrives in the 90, is how do you get the unit to recognise subfolders under MSAUDIO? It's a) a pain to work through the folders to actually get to file level in my maze of MP3 music folders to drag and drop the files I want, and secondly if I want to change my music line-up, it's going to be a huge pain to go through the tracks in MSAUDIO folder, deleting what I don't want. I just want to be able to throw subfolders around. Can it be done? Is this the next Great Hack? :D

Many thanks for any suggestions.

HS

I don't think you can use subfolders, and it seems like the playlist feature isn't for making "playlists" per se, just for omitting some songs or changing their order.

But you could keep your library in one folder on the microdrive and then periodically move that to the MSAUDIO folder with your PC. Not very elegant, is it? I get the impression this application was designed with a limit of 128MB in mind -- you don't need multiple playlists if you can only get 20 or so tracks on in any case.

I perform these steps to make my life easier for manipulating the mp3 in MSAUDIO folder, see if they help you also :

1. Keep an organised mp3 folders (like c:\mp3\Artist\Album etc.) Add this mp3 folder to your Favourite in IE(or My Computer)
2. Add your MSAUDIO folder in your Favourite also.
3. In XP, while in MSAUDIO folder, note that you can add to show the mp3s' aritst/album columns in My Computer(View->Details, View->Arrange Icons by-> Artist/Albums). This can help you to sort the mp3s by Aritst, by Albums.

(1) + (2) help you navigate between your PC and MSAUDIO faster, and (3) help you to delete mp3 in MSAUDIO easier.
