Hi

I've just installed the demo of Proviewer on my TX and have found that it is a lot quicker than Docs to Go 8, however the reflow on Docs to Go works on every PDF I've tried that is not alway the case with Proviewer, is this the only real difference?

Is it worth buying?

Is the PDF viewer in Docs to Go 9 any quicker than version 8?

Also the Proviewer is $14.99 (limited time offer)

regards

Honestly, I prefer neither! For .PDF files, I use PalmPDF, which is quick, skinnable, and easy to use. And then for document viewing, editing, and creating, I use MobiSystems Office. It has Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and is compatible with native MS Office files! Just my two pennies. Good luck with your decision!

P.S. PalmPDF is freee, and MobiSystems is around $30-40.

I personally prefer Docs2Go. I used to use PalmPDF, but when I decided to upgrade DTG to v9.0, I started just using it for everything. I never tried DTG v8 so cannot compare. I went w/ DTG because it handle native .ppt files (and now w/ v9 I can edit them too), images, pdfs, .doc and .xls all wrapped up into one app.

I like DocsToGo since it came free with the Treo and TH55. I use Docstogo to edit while I use Picsel Viewer to view my documents. Its crisp and clean and I just love the zooming :D Very clear :)

with Docs2Go v9.0 you can zoom on images and PDFs as well. IMHO it's a better image viewer than the stock Palm Media app. Never tried PiscelViewer so I can't compare...

I use RepliGo for PDFs. You have to convert the PDF using your computer first, but it runs REALLY fast on the Palm! You can even use that format to view PDFs on older computers. The only drawback is, as I said, that you have to convert the files, but it is a small price to pay. It is something like the old adobe viewer, but much, much better! :) I highly recommend it. And for office documents, I use Docs to go v8,cause v9 is a bit slowish when opening worda and does not have fupport for Croatian characters.

Dont buy proviewer. It is wildly expensive, and although it may be the simplest to use viewer, PalmPDF is good enough for any PDF viewing you might need, and DTG handles pretty much anything else.

I prefer palmPDF too.
